The Innovisory Team

Experienced engineers. Directly involved in your project.

When you work with us, you work with the people responsible for the thinking and delivery and not a layer of account management.

Projects are led and delivered by a small, senior team with experience across hardware, firmware, software and real-world deployment.

There’s no handover from sales to delivery, and no separation between those making decisions and those implementing them. This means:

Questions are answered quickly, by the people who understand the system Decisions are made with full context, not passed between layers Issues are resolved within the team, not escalated across organisations

The result is a controlled delivery process with fewer misunderstandings and less friction.

A small leadership team by choice.

We have deliberately structured our business to stay close to the work.

We don’t operate a tiered model where projects are passed from senior staff to junior teams. Instead, experienced engineers remain directly involved in architecture, decision-making and delivery from early feasibility through to deployment and beyond.

This keeps communication simple, reduces friction, and ensures that the people making decisions fully understand the system and its constraints.

Senior Electronics Engineer

Dr. Andy Farrall CID+ BSc MSc PhD

Role in your project:

Leads system architecture and electronics schematic and PCB design.

Known for:

Over 35 years of experience within the electronic engineering industry; held a range of positions from production, design engineering and management. Specialised in complex PCB design consultancy (T A Research and Design Limited) plus technical training, becoming one of the few IPC CIT CID trainers in the UK. For a period was an Associate Lecturer and Researcher at the School of Engineering at the University of Kent. A practical commercial electronic engineering background coupled with academic research and teaching skills. At Innovisory, Andy brings a wealth of electronics product design experience to the team and is great at brainstorming product ideas, while asking the difficult questions, ironing out potential issues early in the development process.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Paul Grundy HND

Role in your project:

Brings specialist expertise in mechanical product design, mould tooling and design for manufacture.

Known for:

Paul has extensive experience developing mechanical components, equipment, enclosures, casings and tooling, taking designs from early concepts through to detailed engineering and production-ready solutions. His strong background in mould tool design gives him an excellent understanding of how parts need to be designed to manufacture reliably, consistently and cost-effectively. Paul works across complex mechanical assemblies, enclosure and casing design, tooling, sealing solutions and manufacturing optimisation. He brings a practical engineering approach to every project, balancing performance, durability, manufacturability, assembly and cost. At Innovisory, Paul supports projects throughout the product development process, helping turn ideas and early-stage designs into robust, well-engineered products that are ready for manufacture.

Senior Systems
Engineer

Len Manning CEng MIET

Role in your project:

System architecture, key technical decisions and design reviews.

Known for:

Len is a Chartered Engineer with more than 25 years of experience developing electronic products and taking complex engineering projects from early ideas through to finished solutions. He has worked across electronic product design, instrumentation and system development, and has extensive experience bringing together electronics, mechanical engineering, software and other disciplines to deliver complete products. Len is particularly strong at seeing the bigger picture of a development programme while still understanding the engineering detail needed to make it work. Over his career, Len has led multidisciplinary engineering teams and been involved in the development of specialist equipment and instrumentation, helping turn technical concepts into practical, reliable products. At Innovisory, Len brings a wealth of product development experience to the team and is great at working through complex technical challenges, helping ensure that designs are practical, well thought through and capable of making the journey from concept to manufacture.

Eren image_edited.jpg

Senior Software Engineer

Eren Basturk BSc

Role in your project:

Leads software and firmware design and architecture for embedded products and cloud-based platforms, from early feasibility through to certification and deployment.

Known for:

Firmware architecture and ultra-low-power design - taking a product from bare-metal firmware through to a working cloud platform without losing sight of how the pieces fit together across hardware, firmware, connectivity, cloud, compliance and manufacturing, and identifying risks early, before they become costly or difficult to fix. Particularly strong on low-power wireless and communication systems, where battery life, radio behaviour and certification requirements have to be designed in from the start rather than fixed later. 15 years of experience in embedded software, firmware and wireless systems Worked on 100+ commercial products across industrial, consumer and IoT markets 7+ years specialising in LoRaWAN and low-power wireless, with 35+ shipped products. Specialist in firmware architecture and ultra-low-power design to maximise battery life Extensive experience supporting FCC, CE and RED compliance and certification. Firmware consultancy across robotics, security, smart card and chipset migration projects Delivered end-to-end IoT systems combining GPS, LoRaWAN, sensors, cloud analytics and alerting. Experienced in production cloud dashboards, device management, security and reporting. At Innovisory, Eren bridges hardware, firmware, wireless and cloud development to help ensure connected products perform reliably in the field.

Strategic Partners.jpg

Strategic Partners

Where specialist capability is required, we work with a small number of trusted partners.

These relationships are established over time and chosen for their ability to deliver reliably in real-world environments.

Innovisory remains responsible for the system as a whole, while partners contribute where additional expertise or capacity is needed.
